About Mary Gehr- Founder, Author & Officiant

Love has a language all its own—and for more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of helping couples speak it through the ceremonies that begin their lives together. Since being ordained as a Lay Minister in 2001, I have officiated more than 5,000 weddings and vow renewals around the world—each a distinctive celebration of connection, joy, and lifelong commitment.

In addition to my work as a wedding officiant, I am an author and public speaker passionate about sharing the art of meaningful ceremony. My formal training in marriage ministry, rooted in nondenominational faith and inclusive traditions, allows me to approach each union with both spiritual depth and modern understanding.

Beyond officiating, I’ve guided countless couples through pre-marital preparation and mentorship programs, often pairing them with “mentor couples” who have lovingly walked together in marriage for over 25 years. These connections nurture strong foundations—and remind every couple that lasting love grows through shared wisdom, patience, and grace.

I also provide formal training for those who wish to become wedding officiants—whether as a lifelong calling or a one-time honor for someone dear. My goal is to help new officiants approach every ceremony with confidence, authenticity, and a deep respect for the sacred trust they are given.
