About Mary Gehr- Founder, Author & Officiant

As a dedicated celebrant, I have the privilege of crafting unforgettable moments of love and commitment through wedding ceremonies and vow renewals.  

Allow me to share a bit about my background as a wedding officiant and the affiliations that have shaped my journey. In 2001, I was ordained as a Lay Minister in the marriage ministry at a Christian Non-Denominational Church in Southern California. Since then, I have had the privilege of assisting many couples in navigating their pre-marital coursework,  and I have been honored to officiate over 4000 sacred and contemporary wedding ceremonies within the church and thousands of venues and destinations throughout the US and the globe.   Additionally, I am proud to be a member of the International Wedding Officiant Association, the International World Christianship Association of Clergy, the American Association of Wedding Officiants, and the National Association of Christian Ministers. These associations help me stay updated on ministry laws and provide me with a global network of ordained leaders. I have been involved in family and marriage ministry since the early 1990s.
 

Although my religious background is in Christianity, my focus is on creating customized wedding ceremonies that are interfaith or non-religious (secular) and respect all practice. I have also co-officiated with other Ministers and Rabbis, celebrating the spiritual and cultural diversity of our times.   

In addition to officiating wedding ceremonies, I have also had the honor of presiding over renewal of vows and baptism ceremonies. It brings me great joy to celebrate these special moments with couples and families as they reaffirm their love and commitment to one another or embrace their spiritual journey through baptism. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of conducting home blessings, where I bring my expertise and heartfelt blessings to create a sacred and harmonious space for individuals and families. These diverse experiences have allowed me to connect with people on a deeper level, and I am grateful to have been a part of these meaningful occasions.
